Development and Design of Three-phase Water-cooled Motor for Domestic Shield Machine
                     ----Domestic motor specially designed and developed for German shield machine
      This year, our company signed a contract with China Railway Tunnel Company to develop and design a dedicated three-phase water-cooled motor for the shield machine produced in Germany. In the beginning of February, we completed the production of two motors and became the “unique” in the history of motors. I believe that in the domestic counterparts have established a very dominant position. This also marks a comprehensive check of the situation in which imported products dominate the world. The results of localization made in China have initially appeared. It is also one of the key equipments representing the level and capability of a country’s machinery manufacturing industry.
      For a long time, the key technologies of special motors in shield machines have been in the hands of developed countries, while the development and production of motors in shield machines have been monopolized by Japanese and German companies. According to the prediction of experts, in the next 0 years, the market share of the domestic metro shield machine alone will be as high as billion US dollars. It is conservatively estimated that the domestic market will need about 30 shield machines each year. One of the pioneers of shield technology in China, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and deputy chief engineer of China Railway Tunnel Group, Wang Mengshu believes that the construction of tunnels in our country has entered the great rivers and oceans, and shield machines will play an irreplaceable role. Therefore, the development of a three-phase water-cooled motor for shield machines with independent property rights as soon as possible has become a consensus among Victaurants. Technology is full of charm, it does not live up to any hard-working people. At the VTech R&D and production base, the brightly lit night has become a landscape where the dedication of scientific and technological personnel is devoted. With the joint efforts of all, we have finally completed the design of the domestic Wei Te brand special three-phase water-cooled motor designed for the Chinese shield tunnelling machine of China Railway Tunnel Company.
